Água de Luso
Água de Luso
First commercialized in 1894, Água Mineral Natural de Luso is explored through 3 flowing artesian wells from which flows a very light water due to the aquifer’s mineralogical specificity (crystalline quartz). Its characteristics are influenced by the unique nobility of its recharging areas in the magnificent Serra do Buçaco.
Protection of this resource is guaranteed by a rigorous and sustainable Exploration Plan supervised by the State and by careful monitoring over a legally defined Protection Perimeter.
With very low salinity, this water is also low in minerals and is commonly classified as very light with a mild acid reaction. It is a sodium and silicate chlorinated bicarbonate water, as the predominant ions are chloride anions and bicarbonate and sodium cations, with the silica concentration representing about 30 % of the total mineralization.
Its physical-chemical characteristics show great stability even if slight variations may occur as it is a natural product. For consumer information these variations are indicated on the label.
